PPASSSURF CAMP is the closest camp to the world class PALIKIR PASS!

Distance from the surf camp to P-PASS is almost 5 miles which means it would be impossible to reach the pass without power boat, surf all day and make your own way back to the camp.  Our Fast boat can deliver you from your new, traditional style, waterfront, air-conditioned bungalow to THE PASS in under 10minutes.

The main boat used to transport our surfers to the surfing locations is a 30ft Marine Six powered by dual Yamaha 90hp four stroke outboards. Smaller 20ft taxi boats are used to ferry smaller groups or individuals to & from the iconic P-PASS.

Our guests will experience the local hospitality of the Walter family and their workers.  After a big day surfing or sport fishing guests can relax in the open atmosphere of the marine park & enjoy an “all you can eat” open seafood buffet.  Local Mangrove Crab, fresh Tuna sashimi, sweet fried reef fish, local vegetables & rice are a common staple on the menu at P Pass Surf Camp.  After dinner guests can mingle with friends and staff & enjoy their local narcotic sedative, SAKAU!

The main purpose of PPASS SURF CAMP being to host surfers to the best right hand reef pass on the globe.  Swell rolls out of the deep North Pacific Ocean onto the shallow reef, creating a challenging take off on solid days & world class tube sections on even a moderate day.  Trade winds blow from the north east all winter & are typically calmer early & late season.  Though the trades are often blowing, they mostly blow side shore on the take off zone & off shore on the bending inside bowl creating epic back door tube rides, even on an average day! The POHNPEI SURF season begins with small clean waves in October/November building to larger extreme conditions around January/February & calming down again around March/April.
